China has released a series of policies to allow some enterprises to resume normal work. Camel was also approved to resume work on February 17th by our government. We therefore had a longer vacation then the previous few years - from January 18th to February 17th. (Delayed two weeks because of the virus outbreak in Wuhan city). It is really sad that the flu is spreading worldwide and it reminds us of the SARS years ago. However, we are sure we will overcome this virus with the united efforts by the global community.

Below are steps we have taken to ensure it is safe to resume work:

• Wash hands with soap or use a hand sanitizer that contains alcohol. CAMEL prepared enough epidemic prevention products: Face Masks, # 84 Disinfectant, 75% alcohol, Electronic thermometer, and hand lotion, etc.

• CAMEL informed all staff to report their return trip and health status. No colleagues from Wuhan have returned yet. At present, most of CAMEL’s staff have returned to work - 76% of office staff and 88% of factory workers. Some colleagues are still staying home with the following criteria:

1) If you are sick with a cough please stay at home for work until you are better.

2) If you are returning from long distance - more than 700 kilometers from your hometown back to Shenzhen - please make sure to rest in the high-speed service areas when possible and stay at home for work for 2 weeks upon returning.  

3, Special area: Hubei province - stay at home for work until the virus is wiped out, and avoid close contact with people who are sick, especially people exhibiting respiratory symptoms and fever.

• As per the local government requirement, all persons who work in Shenzhen must pass the Certificate of Knowledge of Epidemic Prevention in the Longgang district, Shenzhen, China before going back to work, which includes watching the Education video and answering questions which show how to protect ourselves and our team. This has been very useful.    

• Arrange a cleaning team using antivirus spray to ensure that all areas of the workplace are protected. Working at CAMEL and visiting CAMEL is safe.

• Let’s work together to eliminate this virus. Life is good. We trust we can succeed together.
